About Surrey Counselling & Mediation
(formerly Relate Mid and East Surrey)

Surrey Counselling & Mediation, formerly Relate Mid & East Surrey, has been providing counselling since 1951.
We offer relationship counselling, individual counselling, young people’s counselling, mediation, and sex therapy. We also offer Workshops for parents and young people.

As a registered charity, our aim is not to make a profit but to ensure everyone can access high-quality counselling and mediation. The fees we charge simply help cover the cost of delivering our services, allowing us to support as many people as possible.

 

We never want finances to be a barrier to getting help. That’s why we offer a bursary scheme for anyone who may struggle to afford our standard fees. If you think you might need financial support, please let us know – we’ll talk it through with you confidentially and without judgement.

About us

We have a team of highly skilled and experienced counsellors who have completed specific training in their areas of expertise.

For example, our couples’ counsellors will have completed an additional year of training after finishing their level 5 diploma in counselling.  

We offer both on-line sessions and in-person sessions.

Our impact

After attending counselling 82% of our adult clients reported that their situation had improved and 88% said they would recommend us to family and friends. 

After attending counselling 91% of our young clients said that they had better mental and emotional wellbeing and 82% had developed better coping strategies to deal with their situation.
